CITY CENTRE MOTEL, Vancouver – Your ideal downtown stay

My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms had a slight smell of Nilodor, but they were well-equipped with a shower and bath, cable TV, heating/air conditioning, desk/drawers, closet, and a phone with free local calls. However, cleanliness could have been better, and there were some noisy guests during my stay.

The hotel had its ups and downs. While the rooms were kept clean and tidy daily, some of the appliances seemed a bit outdated and struggled to warm up the room effectively during cold nights. On the bright side, they at least provided a bed and TV, but the absence of basic amenities like a fridge, microwave, or coffeemaker was noticeable. The service, although mostly good, had its moments of inconsistency, with some staff members being welcoming while others lacked motivation and even yelled at guests. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby transit options and various city attractions. However, the lack of a warm greeting upon returning to the hotel left a slightly sour note. On the positive side, the hotel offered included dining options and in-room convenience for coffee enthusiasts. Overall, the facilities were decent, but there was room for improvement in certain areas.

The hotel was conveniently located near downtown Vancouver, close to major bus and train lines, making it a perfect choice for travelers with children. The rooms were dated but clean, although there was a musty smell and a window that couldn't be closed properly. The service was generally good, with friendly and accommodating staff, but there was one rude individual who stood out. The location was a highlight, with plenty of nearby coffee shops and the City Centre within reach. Unfortunately, the dining options were limited, and the facilities did not offer much variety.

I had a good stay at the hotel. The rooms were decent, big, and spacious. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel is conveniently located near quaint shops and transit buses. However, the hotel refused a refund for the restaurant which was a letdown.

Upon entering my non-smoking room, I found the window jammed wide open, unable to be closed. The room had a musty smell and needed some airing out, which was disappointing. The service was indifferent and didn't address my concerns appropriately, making me feel uncomfortable. Despite being close to various attractions, the hotel's location above a less desirable area of Vancouver was a downside.
